Based within the National Scenic Area of Dornoch Firth, this small historic town is packed with personality. From 13th century buildings to shops and restaurants galore, there is something here for every member of the family.
This popular coastal village boasts a glorious Blue Flag beach. This place truly is one of Scotland's best kept secrets.

Dornoch Firth, together with Loch Fleet is a Special Protection Area and hosts many wonderful birds such as Osprey, the Greylag Goose, the Widgeon and the Teal.
Until the Firth was bridged in 1991 motorists had to arrive by way of Bonar Bridge, an inconvienient 12 miles away!
The park is named after the cottage on the site. The cottage was built by Sandie McFarlane just after the first world war for his mother-in-law (Grannie) and he wrote the song 'Granny's Hieland Hame' immortalising the local Embo area. It had fallen into disrepair and was almost derelict when it was purchased as a focal point for the holiday park.
Dunrobin Castle, just 12 miles from Grannie's, is Scotland's most northerly great houses and is the largest house in the Highlands. It is also one of Britains continously inhabited houses and part of it dates back to the 1300s.
Embo Beach keeps its Blue Flag status because of its fantastically clean golden sands and clear water. Bucket and spades are a must!
