The capital of the Scottish Highlands, you can either soak up its history by visiting the castle and cathedral or spend the day making the most of all the shops, restaurants and bars.
Visit the mightiest artillery fortification in Britain, if not Europe. Explore the ancient monument which still functions as a working army barracks today.

Moray Firth is the largest Firth in Scotland stretching from Duncansby Head (near John O'Groats) in the West to Inverness and Beauly Firth in the East.
Moray Firth boasts 500 miles of spectacular coastline, much of which is cliff, making it an ideal location for those scenic cliff top walks!
Nairn is one of the most popular places in the UK for spotting dolphins and whales. Some of the most common species are the Bottlenose Dolphin and the Harbour Porpoise with the occasional sighting of the Common Dolphin and the Minke Whale. Bring your binoculars so you don't miss out!
The first sighting of the Loch Ness Monster was on the 2nd May 1923 by an Alex Campbell, the Loch's water bailiff and, coincidentally a part-time journalist. The famous Loch is just a few miles from park if you want to see if you can spot the famous cryptid!
We have a nautical theme going on here at Nairn; the boats that used to sail out of Nairn harbour were called Drifters. Thus the name of the club and the fish they used to catch were called Speldings, thus the name of the restaurant!
