The Tam O'Shanter Bar & Restaurant is named after a poem written by Scottish poet Robert Burns in 1790.

A you a keen golfer? Troon, 12 miles from Sundrum Castle, has been host to the British Open Golf Championship twice in the last seven years and eight times in total.

The inventors of gas lighting, penicillin and the pneumatic tyre were all born here in Ayrshire. Some may say there's something in the water!

The delicious mild cheese, Dunlop origins from Ayrshire. Made from cow's milk with a sweet, buttery taste, this local cheese is often enjoyed with a glass of local whisky. The perect combination!
