Crantock Beach

A place to relax and get some much needed peace and quiet; sometimes that's all you need. Crantock Beach offers just that! A real Cornish treasure where you'll find peace, tranquillity and is just a short stroll from a secluded beach which you can discover again and again at your own pace.

The other side of Crantock is just four miles from Newquay and its buzzing restaurants, shops and attractions. But hey, don't even think about that until you're fully relaxed, refreshed and recharged.

At the left hand side of the beach, low tide reveals a carving into a rock, featuring a picture of a woman's face, and the inscription ‘Mar not my face but let me be, Secure in this lone cave by the sea, Let the wild waves around me roar, Kissing my lips for evermore’ This is said to be an inscription by a distraught man whose loved one had drowned on Crantock Beach.
